Pregnancy Term & Due Date

Pregnancy usually lasts about 40 weeks from the first day of your last menstrual period. Our Pregnancy Calculator estimates your due date, gestational age, pregnancy week, and expected delivery date. It gives a useful estimate for pregnancy planning.

Pregnancy Detection

A pregnancy test can detect pregnancy, but it cannot tell your due date. Use our calculator after a positive test to estimate your pregnancy dates, gestational age, expected delivery date, and pregnancy week. It does not replace medical care.

How Is Your Pregnancy Due Date Calculated?

Your due date depends on your dating method. Our calculator uses LMP, conception, IVF, or ultrasound data to estimate pregnancy dates.

Last Menstrual Period

The calculator adds 280 days to the first day of your LMP. This follows the standard 40 week pregnancy dating method. This supports EDD estimates.

Conception Date

If you know your conception date, the calculator estimates your due date about 266 days later. This starts with estimated fertilization.

IVF and Embryo Transfer

For IVF, the calculator uses your embryo transfer date and embryo age. Day three and day five transfers use different dating adjustments.

Ultrasound Dating

Early ultrasound dating can refine pregnancy age when LMP is uncertain or cycles vary. Your provider can review any dating difference.

Understanding Your Pregnancy Week

Pregnancy weeks show how far along you are and help describe fetal growth, trimester timing, and prenatal care during pregnancy.

Pregnancy Weeks

Pregnancy is measured in weeks because fetal growth and prenatal care often follow weekly milestones. Each week marks a new stage.

Pregnancy Months

Pregnancy lasts about nine months, but doctors usually describe it by weeks and trimesters. Weekly dating gives a clearer timeline.

Pregnancy Trimesters

Pregnancy has three trimesters. Each stage covers different changes in your body and your baby's development, from early growth to birth.

Weeks Remaining Until Due Date

The calculator compares today's date with your estimated due date to show days or weeks remaining. This helps track your pregnancy timeline.

Factors that need to be considered during pregnancy

Healthy pregnancy care involves medication, weight gain, exercise, and nutrition. These factors support your health and baby's development.

Medication

Tell your doctor about every medicine, vitamin, or supplement you take during pregnancy. Never stop prescribed medicine without medical advice.

Weight gain

Healthy weight gain varies by your pre pregnancy body size and pregnancy type. Your healthcare provider can guide your target during visits.

Exercise

Regular, suitable exercise can support health during pregnancy. Ask your healthcare provider which activities fit your pregnancy and health needs.

Nutrition

A balanced diet supports you and your growing baby. Choose varied foods, key nutrients, and prenatal guidance from your healthcare provider.

Pregnancy Calculator vs. Pregnancy Test

A Pregnancy Calculator estimates dates, while a pregnancy test checks whether pregnancy hormones are present. They answer different questions.
